WhatsApp is preparing to launch a new feature that brings Meta AI directly to your home screen.
As reported by WABetaInfo, the new widget will allow users to interact with Meta AI without opening the app. The widget will let users start conversations with Meta AI, request image edits, seek explanations, or get answers related to photos, all directly from their home screens. This will offer a smooth and instant way to engage with the AI assistant, providing easier access to Meta AI tools.
However, this feature will only be available to users who already have access to Meta AI-powered chats, which are currently available in select countries.
The widget is still in development, but WhatsApp plans to roll it out in future updates for Android users worldwide.
In addition, WhatsApp is also working on a feature that will allow users to create events within individual chats, similar to the process in group chats. This feature will enable users to add event locations or link events to audio or video calls for virtual meetings, further enhancing the app’s capabilities.
