Meta’s WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows users to customize the light and dark theme colors for its business app, now available to select beta testers.
This update is designed to give users more control over the app’s appearance by enabling them to change the primary branding color, moving away from the traditional green to explore new options, according to WABetaInfo.
In this release, Meta has automatically assigned new colors for both light and dark themes. Specifically, the light theme now features a black accent, while the dark theme uses white. These changes replace the previous light blue accent color in WhatsApp Business.
Additionally, the update introduces black and white icons for the app’s settings, chat info screen, and the business banner at the top of the chats list.
While WhatsApp Business now uses black and white accent colors for its themes, WhatsApp Messenger continues to use its classic green accent. This distinction is intentional to help users easily distinguish between the two apps and avoid confusion. The overall design and interface of both apps remain largely unchanged, with the main difference being the accent colors.
