Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is developing a new feature that grants users greater control over voice message transcriptions.
As reported by WABetaInfo, the upcoming update will offer three transcription options:
- Automatic Transcription: Voice messages will be transcribed automatically.
- Manual Transcription: Users can choose to transcribe specific messages manually.
- Disable Transcriptions: Transcription can be turned off entirely.
This enhancement provides users with more flexibility, eliminating the need to manually initiate transcription each time. Instead, they can adjust their settings according to their preferences.
WhatsApp’s New Theme & Wallpaper Customization Update
In addition to transcription controls, WhatsApp has rolled out an update allowing Android and iOS users to personalize their chat experience with new themes and wallpapers.
The update introduces 22 pre-set themes and 30 fresh wallpapers, enabling users to enhance their chats with vibrant backgrounds and unique chat bubble designs. Users can apply themes globally or customize individual conversations.
Notably, these customizations are private, meaning only the user can see them. The update also includes brightness adjustment options and the ability to upload custom wallpapers from the gallery or camera roll.
