As the Palisades Fire prompted the expansion of mandatory evacuation orders into Encino, a council member representing part of the affected area assured residents that every precaution was being taken to protect them.

“We feel confident about our efforts on the ground,” said Traci Park, who represents Mandeville Canyon and Brentwood, during an NBC Los Angeles live interview. “However, we want to reassure everyone that, while this is a dangerous and evolving situation, we are doing everything possible to protect lives and property.”

Park encouraged residents to follow evacuation orders and leave the area for their safety.
