Crown Prince: Saudi Arabia Won’t Recognize Israel Without Palestinian State

DUBAI, Sept 18 – Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia will not recognize Israel without the creation of a Palestinian state. He strongly condemned the actions of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians.

“The kingdom remains committed to tirelessly advocating for an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. Diplomatic relations with Israel will not be established unless this condition is met,” said the crown prince, also known as MbS.

Following the outbreak of conflict last October between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian group governing Gaza, Saudi Arabia halted U.S.-brokered plans to normalize relations with Israel, according to sources familiar with Riyadh’s stance. This marked a significant shift in the kingdom’s diplomatic focus.

Prior to the conflict, MbS had indicated that Saudi Arabia was nearing a deal to formalize relations with Israel reported by (Reuters).
