Hezbollah of Lebanon announces the death of a senior leader during Israeli airstrikes.

Hezbollah has confirmed the death of its senior commander, Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi, amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon. The announcement was made on Telegram early Wednesday, just hours after the Israeli military stated that Qubaisi had been “eliminated” in an airstrike targeting the Ghobeiri area of Beirut’s southern suburbs.

Israeli officials reported that Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi, also known as “Hajj Abu Musa,” was in charge of several of Hezbollah’s missile and rocket units and was implicated in a 2000 attack that resulted in the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli soldiers.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health stated that the recent Israeli airstrike killed six individuals and injured 15 more.

Since Monday, Israeli attacks have claimed the lives of at least 569 people and left 1,835 others injured, according to Lebanese health authorities.
