Jemima Goldsmith, the British film producer and former wife of Imran Khan, was hospitalized following a hiking accident in Cape Town, South Africa, during her New Year holiday.
While hiking with friends and family, Jemima fell while descending from Lion’s Head, a popular peak in Cape Town standing at 2,194 feet (669 meters) above sea level. The fall caused an injury to her ankle and foot, requiring immediate transportation to a local hospital.
In an Instagram post, Jemima shared the details of her experience, explaining how she was enjoying the breathtaking views from the summit before the accident occurred.
“Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town,” she captioned the post. “Embracing the highs and the lows of 2025 – incredible views from the summit of Lion’s Head with friends & fam, and then a tumble & an interminable hobble down in the dark. Happy New Year folks.”
She posted several photos, including one from her hospital bed, where she wore a protective boot on her right foot, and another where she smiled while using crutches.
Jemima reassured her followers that she was stable and recovering, despite the pain from the fall. “I’m getting better, thank you all for your well wishes,” she added on social media.
In recent months, Jemima has been active in public discussions about her ex-husband Imran Khan’s imprisonment. She and Imran, who were married from 1995 to 2004, have two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim, who live in London.
