Live Updates on Israel’s Attacks in Lebanon: ‘Continuous’ Bombing Amid Mourning for Hezbollah Leader

Al Jazeera’s correspondent reports that Israeli warplanes are continuing their relentless bombardment, resulting in 33 fatalities across Lebanon on Saturday, according to Health Ministry officials.

Lebanon has declared three days of mourning for Hassan Nasrallah, the longtime Hezbollah leader, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike.

U.S. President Joe Biden has stated, “It’s time for a ceasefire now” in Lebanon, as U.S. politicians express support for Israel following Nasrallah’s death amid a series of Israeli airstrikes on a suburb of Beirut.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in at least 41,586 deaths and 96,210 injuries in Israel’s war against Gaza. In Israel, the toll from the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 has reached at least 1,139, with more than 200 individuals taken captive.
