New Saudi Airline to Launch Operations in Pakistan

KARACHI: Flyadeal to Begin Operations in Pakistan Starting February 2

In a significant boost to Pakistan’s aviation sector, Saudi airline Flyadeal is set to commence flight operations to Pakistan from February 2, ARY News reported.

The airline will initially operate flights connecting Riyadh to Karachi, with additional routes between Karachi, Riyadh, and Jeddah. The inaugural flight to Karachi will be celebrated with a water salute ceremony by airport authorities.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has already approved Flyadeal for air operations in Pakistan.

According to airline sources, Flyadeal aims to offer direct travel options, enhancing convenience for passengers traveling between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Airline’s Punctuality and Expansion

In August 2024, Saudi Arabia’s national airline achieved top international rankings for punctuality, as per Cirium’s July 2024 report. With an on-time arrival rate of 88.12% and a departure rate of 88.15%, Saudia has established itself as a global leader in aviation.

The airline operates a vast network covering four continents and over 100 destinations, managing 16,503 flights in July 2024 alone. Saudia plans to expand its fleet with 103 new aircraft, supporting its strategy to increase seating capacity and connect to more international destinations as part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

As a SkyTeam alliance member since 2012, Saudia plays a key role in global aviation. It also offers charter services during Ramadan and Hajj seasons, serving passengers across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America.

Flyadeal’s entry into Pakistan is expected to strengthen air travel options and foster closer ties between the two countries.
