Pakistan Dispatches 24th Relief Consignment to Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria

KARACHI: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has sent another humanitarian aid consignment for the war-affected people of Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.

Following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives, NDMA, in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation, dispatched the 24th relief shipment, according to a press release issued on Saturday.

The aid was transported via a chartered flight from Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, to El Arish International Airport, Egypt.

The relief consignment included approximately 60 tons of essential supplies, including bell tents, winterized tents, and tarpaulin sheets for those affected by the conflict.

So far, Pakistan has sent a total of 1,861 tons of relief aid, with 1,378 tons allocated for Palestine (Gaza), 372 tons for Lebanon, and 111 tons for Syria.

A send-off ceremony was held at Karachi airport, attended by senior officials from NDMA, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Al-Khidmat Foundation.

“The Government of Pakistan remains committed to providing relief based on the needs of war-affected populations in Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine,” the statement read.
