The former Danish monarch, who abdicated earlier this year in favor of her son, was admitted to the university hospital in the Danish capital.
Lene Balleby, head of communications, stated, “Given the circumstances, the queen is doing well but has been admitted for observation.”
Her son, King Frederik X, shared that he had spoken to her and assured, “She is in good hands.”
At the 100th anniversary of the Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir, the King added, “We are taking it day by day, and the doctors will decide the next steps.”
